About a couple of weeks ago my dads cousin died. My aunt Sue (my dads sister) wanted him to go with her to the funeral thing. [it wasn't a actual funeral but it was like one] The drive was 2 hours, and we would be in the car with our cousins and aunt and uncle. I wanted to go since there is nothing to do at home. Well, me, Ben, and my dad ended up going. Another reason me and Ben wanted to go was because they had just gotten a new van with a TV in it and the middle windows go down! So Cool! So we drove to there house and on the way to the funeral home, we watched Star Wars II. But we never finished it. After the funeral home we went to a really fancy restaurant where there is a bar. All we did is sit around talking to our cousins (second cousins) that we haven't even met before for about 2 hours. Then we went to our great aunt's house and played around and had dinner. We met our third cousins, or second i forget (our dad's cousins sons) and they are quite the characters! One is 14 and one is 12. and they have another brother that just graduated college.
There is a really sad story about their dad: When he was 37, he and his dad owned a housing company. One guy that had bought a house from them, wasn't paying the bank for the house. (the bank owned the house) So my cousin and his dad had to take the house away from him.
The guy was really mad, so he went to my cousin's office and said "i need to talk to you alone" so when they sat down to talk, the guy pulled out a gun and shot him. My cousin's dad was in another room when he heard the shot and so he went to press a button that calls the police. and then after he did that, the guy came in and shot him and ran out drove to the beach and tried to kill himself by shooting him in the stomach (but he didn't die so now he is in prison for murder)
but how did i meet my cousin who got shot yesterday??? well he was OK. he was shot in the mouth and the bullet came out the side of his face. and thats how i met him. but his poor dad died. =(
so after my aunts house, we drove home watching Stuart Little which my cousins got from my other aunt while at the restaurant. (they also got Stuart Little 2)
my cousins are 6 and 4 years old. me and Ben sat in the back with Mason (the 6 year old) and my dad sat in the middle with Carter (the 4 year old) and my aunt and uncle sat in the front and drove.
